In honour of the Queens birthday we hustled a couple of locals and went on a road trip to the forgotten little town of Farina. Our convoy tackled 17 sand dunes, rocky roads and huge expanses of desert all for a delicious Hi-Top loaf (emphasis HI[GH]). The bread is baked in the original subterranean Scotch Oven from the 1880's. We spent a few hours walking the dusty streets and climbing through ruins and rolled back into Andamooka just as the sun was setting. MAGICAL. Definitely check out the volunteers amazing work HERE.
